The number of infected in the state increased to 13,31,249 after 13,046 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in one day on Thursday. According to the bulletin, 1,17,154 people are currently undergoing treatment for corona virus infection in the state and 11,99,120 people have become infection free.

So far, a total of 1,21,79,113 samples have been tested in Kovid-19 in the state. At the same time, after five new cases of ‘Mucarmicosis’ came out, its cases increased to 18 in the state.

Mucarmicosis is also known as ‘black fungus’ and is a rare serious infection that is found in many patients of Kovid-19.

A Health Department official said that out of five new cases of ‘black fungus’, two victims are from Bihar and Assam, who are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in the state. Other cases came up in the former Bardhaman and Bankura districts. He said that three people had died in the state from ‘Black Fungus’ to Thursday.
