Bhanu Pratap Verma has taken oath as a Union Minister for the first time.
New Delhi: Many veteran ministers of the Modi government were shown the way out of the cabinet. After this, now 43 new faces have been included in the Narendra Modi government. Among them, Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, MP from Jalaun seat of Uttar Pradesh, is also included. Bhanu Pratap Verma is a five-time MP. Today Bhanu Pratap Singh has taken oath as a Union Minister for the first time. Jalaun district of Bundelkhand comes in backward areas. 63-year-old Verma, who has a lot of penetration among Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, has won the Lok Sabha elections of 1996, 1998, 2004, 2014 and 2019 from Jalaun seat. He has become a Union Minister for the first time. In 2001, Verma became the vice-president of the Scheduled Caste Morcha of Uttar Pradesh BJP and was also the president of this Morcha from 2011 to 2013.
Verma is known to work in the field of literacy and family welfare and struggle towards taking government schemes to the scheduled castes and tribes. Bhanupratap Verma is also a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
