In Madhya Pradesh from 1st to 5th i.e. primary classes will also be conducted from 20th September. However, attendance in classes will remain 50 percent. Pramod Singh, Deputy Secretary, School Education Department said that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the instructions of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and the circumstances of Kovid-19 infection in the state. Deputy Secretary Singh said that hostels and residential schools would be run for 100% students of class 8th, 10th and 12th. Schools and hostels will also be opened for class 11th students, but not more than 50 percent of their total strength will be present in the hostel. Singh said that the consent of the District Disaster Management Committee would be taken regarding the opening of schools, hostels and residential schools in the districts. SOPs and Kovid-19 protocols issued from time to time by the Government of India and the state level will be followed in schools and hostels. Online classes and digital medium of students will be conducted as before.
