Palatnagar Kotwali police have arrested four fugitive sisters in a kitty fraud case. The accused women were hiding in Nepal. Housekeeper Pradeep Bisht, Patelnagar Kotwali, said that on June 15, 2015, Vidya Bhatt’s wife PD Bhatt, a resident of THDC Colony, filed the case.
It was said that Kitty Sanchalika Meenakshi resident Kedarapuram No. 5 of Shivkunj Alley, her father Lal Bahadur Khatri, her mother Sunita Khatri and four sisters used to drive Kitty under the name of Indrapuri Madarovala Five Star respectively.
It was alleged that five lakh Vidya and another eight to ten crore rupees were swindled. Police have filed a case against the couple and their five daughters under the Chit Fund Act.
Meenakshi, Manisha, Madhuri, Mohini and Monica were absconding in this case. Sunita Khatri was arrested by Nehru Colony police in her trial.
The police investigation revealed that the women were mainly residents of Nepal and were hiding in Nepal. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, the police came to know that Manisha, Madhuri, Mohini and Monica were seen around the house.
Upon receiving the news, the police team led by SI Manoj Bhatt arrested four sisters. Kotwal said the four were produced in court, from where they were sent to jail and Meenakshi and Lal Bahadur were being searched.
