From Wednesday, a search will be conducted to find the male skeletons of passengers missing in the Kedarnath disaster. Rudraprayag police has formed 10 teams for this. This year too, under the direction of PIL under the direction of Police Headquarters and Zonal Office Dehradun, SDRF, in collaboration with police personnel from Uttarakhand and other districts of Garhwal region, launched a four-day search operation by the district police to examine the male skeletons of the 2013 Kedarnath disaster.
Superintendent of Police Navneet Singh Bhullar said the operation would start at 8 am on Wednesday. For the investigation, 10 teams have been formed at the district level, for which different routes have been determined. Each team will be led by 1 sub-inspector and his team consists of 2 police constables, 2 SDRF constables and 1 pharmacist.
The formed teams include 3 sub-inspectors of Rudraprayag district, 6 constables, 2 sub-inspectors from Chamoli district, const constables, 2 sub-inspectors of municipal districts, const constables, 3 sub-inspectors of SDRF, 1 chief constable. He has included 19 constables. All the teams including 10 pharmacists from Rudraprayag district have a total of 0 employees. Each team was provided with adequate overnight rest, tent for camping, sleeping bag, matrix, logistical material, necessary security equipment, wireless set for communication, photo-videography camera.
Google Maps will be used to promote campaigns on all routes. SDRF personnel are present with each team for map reading. Along with other routes, the team’s cooperation has also been arranged at the local level to guide the guides and porters to take the difficult route.
