Semester examinations for final year students studying in polytechnics will now be held from 18th September. The Technical Education Council has prepared the examination schedule. The council will soon publish the schedule on its website. The council is also prepar ing for the exams, when first- and second-year students will not take the exams. These students will be promoted.
The Technical Education Council will release the schedule soon. According to Council Secretary SK Singh, the examinations of polytechnic students are being delayed due to the corona epidemic. Only final year students will have exams and first and second year students will be promoted. A total of 55,719 engineering final year and 67,580 students in 12,861 final year related to pharmacy will take part in the exam to be held in September.
On the other hand, the Polytechnic entrance examination is proposed to be held on 12 and 15 September, due to which the examination date has been further extended. The semester exams for the first f inal year students were to be held from 7 to 12 September.
One and a half lakh students will be promoted
On the other hand, there will be a total of 2,25,903 students, including 1,69,501 in first and second year engineering and 56,383 in first year pharmacy. It will be compulsory for these students to fill up the examination form. Those whose forms have not been submitted will not be promoted. The secretary said such national students would be promoted with a mark on the basis of 50 per cent internal assessment and 50 per cent previous examination.
