The careless and unconscious staff of Group ‘C’ of the Department of Medicine and Health will now have difficulty. If he does not take his departmental responsibilities seriously in time, it is possible that the government may show him the way out of the departmental work. The government on Tuesday formed a four-member committee to prepare an account of the efficiency and output of the departmental staff.
This committee will screen employees who are not honest about their responsibilities and are involved in misconduct, abuse or other corrupt practices. The committee will prepare a list of such employees and send it to the government, on the basis of which the government will take action against such employees or show the way out. On Tuesday, the government issued a directive to form a committee in this regard.
Medical and Health Services Director (Administration) Dr Pooja Pandey has ordered the formation of a four-member committee. The Joint Committee (Staff), Joint Director (Headquarters) and Senior Accounts Officer have been made members in the committee formed under the chairmanship of Additional Director Administration.
The employees were agitated as soon as the order was announced
Workers’ unions have warned of a nationwide movement against the government’s decision. RK Nigam, general secretary of the State Employees Joint Council (Tiwari Dal), described it as unscientific and inhumane. He said the government was working to discourage employees instead of encouraging them during the coveted period. Meanwhile, the government is planning to snatch the place of employment which is unfortunate.
At the same time, JN Tiwari, chairman of another group in the council, questioned the government’s intentions and said that ministers and officials over the age of fifty in the government should also be investigated. Both activist leaders have warned of a statewide movement on the issue.
