Sultanpur (UP): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Sultanpur MP and former Union Minister Maneka Sanjay Gandhi has been arrested by the police on charges of spreading misleading information by creating a fake Facebook account in the name of Manek Sanjay Gandhi. The young man was spreading false information on Facebook. MP Maneka Gandhi’s representative, Ranjit Kumar, lodged a complaint against the accused in Nagar Kotwali on April 4, on the basis of which action was taken against Sonu Sahni, a resident of Chinhat in Lucknow. Bhupendra Singh, in-charge of Nagar Kotwali, said legal action was being taken against Ranjit Kumar’s Tahrir by filing a case against the accused and arresting him. MP’s spokesperson Vijay Singh Raghubangshi said the allegation made to the police was that the people were being given misleading information by creating fake accounts in the name of Sultanpur MP and former Union Minister Maneka Sanjay Gandhi. The MP representative said it was against the rules and expressed the possibility of tarnishing the image of the MP. He said that after the police filed a case and started investigation, it was found that Sonu Sahni, a resident of Mulayam Nagar in Chinhat area of Lucknow, had done this.
