UP STF has arrested Dhirendra Pratap Singh, the main accused in the Peel case, on Sunday. Another 12 teams of police are trying to find him. Police also arrested three more accused on Saturday.
Let me inform you that an open meeting was held at Panchayat Bhaban on Thursday afternoon for allotment of two shops at Gram Sabha Durjanpur and Hanumanganj in Rebati area of Balia district. The meeting was attended by SDM Baria Suresh Pal, CO Baria Chandrakesh Singh, BDO Baria Gajendra Pratap Singh as well as the police force of Rewathi police station. During the meeting, the Durjanpur shop did not agree. Later, when it was decided to vote, the uproar started.
According to eyewitnesses, as soon as the strike took place, officials adjourned the meeting and began to leave. However, the police were also present on the occasion. After the meeting was adjourned, both sides started fighting. During the fight, Dhirendra Pratap Singh, a former army soldier, opened fire and injured another man, Jay Prakash alias Gama Pal (4), a resident of Durjanpur. It is said that Joy Prakash had four shots.

Police announced the award against the fugitive accused in the Durjanpur case. Police have arrested five accused in three days.
After the incident on Thursday, Revathi police have registered a case against eight people and 25 others against Tahrir of Chandra Pal, brother of the slain Joy Prakash. At the end of Friday, DIG Azamgarh Subhash Chandra Dubey announced a reward of Tk 25,000 each to the fugitive accused and SP Devendra Nath. Police say three more suspects were arrested after the investigation revealed their names.
