Schools will be opened in UP from today, students will be called in two shifts


Schools for classes 9 to 12 will be launched in UP from Monday. The state government allowed the school to open last week. Preparations have been made to open schools in all districts including Lucknow, Prayagraj and Varanasi. On Sunday, officials discussed the preparations with the school principal. The school will be run in two shifts. Students of 9th and 10th class will be called in the first shift and 11th and 12th class students will be called in the second shift.


Schools are open from 8.50 am to 3.20 pm. The school will be run in two shifts. Schools have been closed since March 13 due to the Covid-19 infection. Binoy Kumar Pandey, Director, Secondary Education, has issued instructions to all DIOS.

Classes 9 and 10 will be held from 8.50 am to 11.50 am and classes 11 and 12 from 12.20 to 3.20 am. The Kovid 19 protocol will be taken care of when the school opens. As a precaution, the state government has not only issued SOPs to reopen the schools, but has also sent more than three dozen officers to investigate. All these officers reached the allotted districts on Sunday night and after the school opens on Monday, they will inspect and send their report to the government.

Sanitizers, masks, hands, etc. have been provided at the Government Girls Inter College, Prayagraj. District school inspector RN Bishwakarma inspected the preparations before opening schools in GGIC Prayagraj and Katra on Friday. Rani Rewathi Devi Saraswati Vidya Niketan Inter College Rajapur and Arya Kanya Inter College also have full arrangements.

Only 50 percent of students in a class can be called. The rest of the students will be called on the second day. Flexible procedures will be adopted for school attendance and no student will be forced to come to school.

The government has instructed that the online education system will continue as before. Students who do not have access to online education should be given priority in school calling. Students should be given this facility if they want to study online from home.

The distance between the two students will be 6 feet

Feet will be kept between students. The school will be sanitized in each shift. Schools will have sanitizers, handwash, heat scanning and first aid. If any students, teachers or other staff have symptoms of cough, cold or fever, they will be sent back home with first aid.

Social distance at the gate will be followed during entry and exit. Not all students will be exempted at once. If the school has multiple entrances, their use will be ensured. School buses or vans etc. will also be sanitized every day. Additional amount of masks will be provided by the school management.
