Opposition parties have intensified their attacks on the BJP government after BJP MLA Surendra Singh publicly backed the main accused in the case. Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi also questioned on Sunday that the BJP MLA from Barrier is standing with the accused, yet why is he in the party?
Priyanka tweeted, “Who is the BJP government standing with in the incident?” According to reports, after the murder in front of the officers, the accused remained in police custody but escaped. The BJP MLA is openly standing with the accused.

Priyanka Gandhi also tagged Prime Minister Modi, BJP President JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the issue and said why is the MLA still in the party?

During the allotment of quota shop in Balia, Dhirendra, a close associate of BJP MLA Surendra Singh, shot dead a man in front of the police. He was apprehended by police but later escaped. He was arrested again from Lucknow on Sunday morning.

Congress has termed it as part of the state government’s “Save the Criminals” mission.
