After taking action against Atiq Ahmed and Mukhtar Ansari in the east, the police of Yagi government have started cracking down on miscreants in western UP. The administration has put pressure on Sunil Rathi, the notorious and accused in the murder of Munna Bajrangi in jail. Under the Uttar Pradesh Gangster Act, a car has been seized connecting three houses in Tekri town of Sunil Rathi.
On Sunday, police led by CO Barot Alok Singh and CO Baghpat Ompal Singh reached the infamous Sunil Rathi, son of Rajbala, former chairman of Tikri town, where Sunil Rathi’s house was attached. Family members protested but did not stand in front of police.
In fact, arrangements were made to attach the infamous Sunil Rathi’s house (illegal property) in Tikri town on the orders of District Magistrate Baghpat on Sunday. A large number of police and administrative officers from 6 police stations of the district were present during this period. Rajbala Chowdhury, wife of late wife Sunil Rathi. Naresh Rathi (former Nagar Panchayat president), Birendra and Vikram’s son Plate Singh (Sunil Rathi’s uncle) have been tried for murder, robbery, kidnapping and murder at Haridwar, Delhi, Meerut and Bagpat Doghat police stations. Attempts, fraud and other cases are registered. Under the direction of these three, the administration has taken steps to keep the illegal property. The total value of these illicit assets, including 3 houses and a Fortune car, is estimated at around Rs 1.25 crore. The car is named after Sunil Rathi’s wife Deepali. Arrangements are being made to seal the illegal property in the presence of police and administrative officials.
