Eminent neurologist Ashok Panagariya passed away on Friday due to complications related to Kovid-19. Panagariya was in the hospital for more than 25 days. His lungs had deteriorated. Doctor Panagariya had also recovered from Kovid but he could not escape from the complication of lungs.
Panagariya has more than 90 research papers in various health journals to his name. He has won a UNESCO award for his medical and social support, and was also awarded the civilian decoration Padma Shri. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has condoled his death.
CM said in a tweet that condolences to renowned neurologist and Padma Shri Dr Ashok Panagariya. Dr Ashok worked in important positions in the medical field. Even during the pandemic, he played an important role as a doctor in the state.
