Madhya Pradesh Lockdown: In Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday announced a lockdown in all cities in the state due to the alarming rise in corona. As per the state government’s order, night curfew will be applicable in all the cities of the state from 10 am to 6 am every day from April 2, and in Chhindwara district, the entire lockdown will be applicable from 8 am to 8 am on April 8. With this, all government offices will be open only 5 days a week for the next 3 months and their duration will be from 10 am to 6 pm. All offices will be completely closed on Saturday and Sunday. The decision was taken by CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan after discussions with officials at an emergency meeting on Wednesday evening. The meeting further decided that with the consent of the Crisis Management Group, collectors will be able to issue lockdown orders in urban areas on Sundays as well as Saturdays. Containment zones will be created in more infected urban areas of the state, on the basis of which a 10-day lockdown can be imposed in those container areas. Two judges were killed in Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday
A retired Jabalpur High Court judge and 52-year-old Additional Sessions Judge of Satna died in Corona in the state on Wednesday. The administration on Tuesday declared eight areas of the city as micro-compliance zones in view of the growing corona patients in Indore. These areas will have limited movement of people for seven days.
Weekend lockdown may occur in 13 cities of Madhya Pradesh
There are lockdowns in Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ujjain, Bidisha, Chhindwara, Narsinghpur, Barwani, Betul, Khargone, Morena and Ratlam on Saturday.
