The husband and wife were jailed for months by the inspector’s arbitrator, find out what the whole matter is.

The Bihar Human Rights Commission has taken big steps to send innocent husbands to jail and not appeal to the court in spite of the SP’s instructions. In the case involving Motihari, commission member Ujjwal Kumar Dubey has directed the state government to jointly pay Rs 200,000 compensation to the victims.

A case of truck looting was filed at Motihar’s Chakia police station in January 2012 after the murder of truck driver Av Dhesh Kumar. After investigation, the police have found the case against the five to be true. In it, Bhola Kumar and Yogendra Sahni took the name of Hira Sahni during interrogation. Investigators arrested the then Sub-Inspector Binoy Kumar Singh (now Inspector, Mungar District Force) Hira Sahni and his wife Lakshmi Devi and remanded them in judicial custody on 14 December 2017.

The couple was later found innocent during the study. No chargesheet was filed against them. Jogendra and Hira Sahani seem to have gotta and there was a conflict between the two. About this he took the names of husband and wife. The SP, Motihari directed the IO to apply to the court to release the husband and wife from judicial custody, but they did not do so. Later, on 11 May 2018, the two were released on bail on the orders of the Patna High Court.

IO has knowingly violated human rights

The matter reached the State Human Rights Commission. After investigating the incidents, the commission admitted that the IO had deliberately violated the human rights of the couple. In vain, he was arrested without a strong base. After hearing the matter, commission member Ujjwal Kumar Dubey directed the state government to pay Rs 2 lakh as compensation to the couple within eight weeks. The government can recover the amount of compensation from the concerned police officer.
