Bihar Water Resources Minister Sanjay Kumar Jha described the second AIIMS in Darbhanga Bihar as a historic gift from the central government to Mithila. Special thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for this.

He said that at the convening meeting convened by the PMO, the Chief Secretary to the Bihar government conveyed to the Center the sentiments of the state government to form another AIIMS at the court. The Chief Minister advised the then Union Health Minister JP Nadda to upgrade DMCH to AIMS at an event organized by the Ministry of Health on March 2, 2019 in Patna. The Chief Minister has recently spoken to the present Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan and clarified the situation regarding AIIMS in Darbhanga. It said that after the relentless efforts of the Chief Minister, the process of approving the AIIMS in Darbhanga was expedited.
Sanjay Kumar Jha said, “I am happy that I have got the approval of the Union Cabinet at Darjanga. After Mithila’s center, Darbhanga, becomes an airport, the construction of Ames will result in the final development of not only Darbhanga, but the whole of Mithila.
