The process of land acquisition for the bridge parallel to the Vikramshila Bridge at Bhagalpur in Bihar has been expedited. Notices have been sent to about 255 rioters seeking compensation. The process of land acquisition will end after the payment of compensation.
A stealth parallel bridge will be built at Vikramshila adjoining the east. Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has announced that construction work will start within two months. Since then, the process of land acquisition has been expedited by the administration. The parallel bridge will acquire 10.60 acres of Makhujan mouza, 40.36 acres of Mahadevpur mouza, 0.099 acres of Parbat mouza and 1.44 acres of Bhagalpur Municipal Corporation mouza. It contains the government land of Makhujan Mauza. Its transfer process is in its final stages.

The construction of the bridge will accelerate the economic progress of East Bihar. Ashok Bhawanwalawala, president of the East Bihar Chamber of Commerce, said there have been problems with the jam for 10 years. This is affecting the business. Outside traders do not come. People will come here to set up industries because of the construction of parallel bridges. General Secretary Rohit Jhunjhunwala said that one should think before going anywhere. In each case a parallel bridge will be developed.
