Muzaffarpur is identified as Laheti included in a District One product project


After Shahi Lychee, Lati has also given specific recognition to Muzaffarpur. Therefore, date palms have also been included in the Forest District One Product Project of the Central Government. The Ministry of MSMEs has prepared a detailed action plan to take forward the products covered under this project.
Expectations of 50,000 people in the district involved in the wireless industry and business have been pinned on the initiative of the MSE Ministry. The Centre’s MSMEs and the state’s industry department will take forward the products included in the One District One product. The already running cradle industry will expand. The government will assist in the promotion of business in the form of business loans. Through self-reliant India, the Prime Minister’s currency and the Prime Minister’s Skill Development Scheme will promote more self-employment and business in the field of sticks. More emphasis will be placed on women entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs. Better work will be done on the quality and design of the sticks to compete in the international and national markets.

Firoz, a leather trader from Islampur, said sticks have been made from house to house in dozens of villages in Islampur, Rambagh, Pankhatli, Maniyari, Bochahan and Karja. More than five hundred small and big businessmen have been associated with it. There are more than 15 thousand artisans. The livelihood of 50,000 people is involved with the stick. Muzaffarpur has a turnover of more than Tk 50 crore annually. The cradle industry will grow with the help of the government.
