The police administration is taking strict measures to prevent muttering and intimidation in the assembly elections. So far 249 criminals have been prosecuted under the Crime Control Act (CCA) in anticipation of peace. Junk miscreants who are under CCA during the election will not be able to take bail. They may be transferred to other prisons. So far, Arvind Kashyap of Khagaul, Randhir alias Nata of Patna city, Manik, Ujjwal, Jatshankar alias Jataha, Amit of Bihar have been transferred to Aria and Bhagalpur jails in 15 notable cases filed in Biur jail.
Attendance at the police station
To tighten the screws, 230 notables from the district have been jailed. These will remain in the second district until the election and will join the police station every day. 26,000 suspects have also been banned under Section 1028 and bonds have been settled with 5,000 people in Patna district in the hope of peace. The bondholders have given an affidavit that they will not cause any trouble in the election or intimidate anyone.
Flying and static squad guards in every scene
According to SSP Upendra Sharma, all the booths in 14 assembly constituencies in Patna district have been physically checked by the police. In addition, a total of 6 flying squads and static teams have been deployed in the assembly constituencies. Three aircraft and three static squads have been deployed in each assembly. Each team has one magistrate, one police officer and two jawans. Border checkposts of eight districts adjoining Patna district are being set up and closely monitored. The gangster register at the police station has been updated. Suspected miscreants are being brought to the police station every day.
Two companies of paramilitary forces have come forward for peaceful elections. Police forces have been deployed in all assembly constituencies, along with at least 10 to 15 paramilitary organizations. No trouble will be allowed.
