When the villagers go to work in the field in the morning, they look at the dead bodies in the field. The villagers then gave this information to the police officer of Pipra police station area. Police arrived at the scene and took the bodies into their custody and an investigation was launched. Police chief Santosh Kumar told IANS that after seeing the bodies, it was learned that they had been killed and dumped elsewhere. Station in-charge Santosh further said that no signs of injuries were found anywhere on the body, adding that he was feared to have died by suffocation. The age of the three bodies is said to be around 40 to 50 years. The exact cause of death can be revealed only after the autopsy report.
