Bihar has the highest number of vacancies in government schools as compared to the rest of the country.

There are a large number of vacancies in all government schools in the country. According to the vacancies provided by the central government, there are 1 million 100 thousand 139 vacancies in the country.

This information was given by Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank himself in response to an unanswered question from Lok Sabha MP Dharmavir Singh. By the year 2020-21, 611 lakh 84 thousand 4 464 posts of teachers were sanctioned all over the country. In contrast, there are a total of 10 lakh 60 thousand 139 vacancies in different states. Most of the teaching posts in Bihar are vacant. At the same time, the post of single teacher in Mizoram is not vacant. There are 83 vacancies for teachers in Lakshadweep and 18 vacancies in Ladakh.

Most of the teachers’ seats in Bihar are vacant

Bihar ranks first in the country in terms of vacancies. There are 2 lakh 75 thousand 255 vacancies as against the total 7,177 sanctioned posts of teachers. Then there are more than 217,000 vacancies in Uttar Pradesh. At the same time, there are more than 95,000 vacancies for teachers in Jharkhand. Most seats are available only in the northern states of India.

Will be recruited in Bihar

The Bihar government will recruit 94,000 teachers for primary (one to eight) primary posts. The process is underway. All planning units have been directed to fill the vacancies as soon as possible. There has been some delay due to the matter going to court. In addition, 30,200 middle and higher secondary students will have to be brought together. Apart from this, the Bihar Board has recently given the STET examination following an order of the Bihar government. The test ended on Monday. Through this, 33,916 people will be recruited in secondary and higher secondary schools of Bihar.

The planning process continues in Bihar

About 1.24 lakh posts of two plus primary teachers in Bihar are in the process of recruitment. The planning process for filling the posts of teachers in primary schools has been going on since last year, which is not over yet. The STET re-examination is also in the final stages to fill the vacancies of high school teachers.

Qualification to be a teacher in Bihar

Teachers are eligible to become teachers with a Bachelor’s (BEd) or Diploma in Elementary Education (DLD) as well as Teacher Eligibility Test (TATT). Now after 12, students can also become teachers by doing 4 years BA / BSc BEd directly. Teacher aptitude test is conducted twice a year at CBSE central level. TET is also organized from time to time at the state level, which can be a candidate to become a teacher. In this way the education of the graduates / diploma youths can be restored.

There is a great opportunity for young people

Dipankar Gaurab, state president of Bihar, a student conflict committee that has passed the BEd, said a large number of candidates from across the country are waiting to be recruited after passing the aptitude test. Due to such a large number of vacancies for teachers, children’s education is also adversely affected.
