Bihar Building Minister Dr Ashok Chowdhury has been made the state executive president of the JDU. At the behest of JDU national president and Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, the state has appointed JDU president and MP Basistha Narayan Singh Dr Chowdhury as executive chairman. State President Singh said in a statement on Sunday that Ashok Chowdhury Chowdhury would look into the party’s effectiveness as acting president in my absence with the consent of National President Nitish Kumar.
It is noteworthy that in 2017, when Nitish Kumar split from the grand alliance, Ashok Chowdhury Chowdhury joined the JDU on 1 March 2018. He was made building minister last year. Currently, he has played a key role in JD’s virtual events. Dr. Ashok Chowdhury Chowdhury was the President of Bihar Provincial Congress. The Congress, led by Ashok Chowdhury, won two seats in the 2015 assembly elections under the JDU, RJD and the Congress grand alliance. In 2014, he became a member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. The education minister was formed when the grand alliance government was formed. The JDU has delegated this important responsibility during the election in terms of its organizational skills.
This is a big responsibility. I am grateful to my leader Nitish Kumar, National General Secretary RCP Singh, MP Lalan Singh and State President Basistha Narayan Singh. Nitish Kumar himself is the ultimate personality leader. The important responsibility that he gave during the election, he will lead the party according to his qualifications as a worker.-Ashok Chowdhury
