A three-day visit of the Election Commission team to review preparations for the Bihar Assembly elections from tomorrow

The seven-member delegation from the Election Commission of India will visit Patna on September 29 for a three-day visit to Bihar, led by Umesh Sinha, general secretary of the commission for the Bihar Assembly general elections 2020. Commission Secretary PK Sharma gave this information in a letter to the Chief Electoral Officer of Bihar.

The team includes Deputy Election Commissioners Sudip Jain, Chandrabhushan Kumar and Ashish Kundra, Additional Director General (PIB) of the Press Information Bureau Shefali B. Saran, Director (Sweep) Saratchandra and Director (Expenditure) Pankaj Srivastava. The commission has directed to prepare a state profile including law and order by September 28. Also, said that the District Election Officer will present before the Commission on eight to ten slides, including law enforcement.

Meeting with representatives of political parties

According to the schedule of the three-day visit to Bihar published by the Election Commission of India, preparations for the elections will be reviewed during this period and meetings with representatives of political parties will be held. The commission team will reach Patna on September 29 at half past one in the evening. Morning at the local hotel. There will be meetings with the Chief Electoral Officer and the Nodal Police Officer from 9pm to 9pm. On the second day, September 30, there will be a meeting with representatives of political parties from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. After that, there will be a meeting with the heads of the implementing agencies from 12:30 am to 1:30 pm. After lunch, there will be a meeting with the District Election Officer and the Superintendent of Police from 3 pm to 8 pm.
