New Zealand coach Gary Stead has said that his team has played strong in all three formats and is ready for the T20 World Cup.
In recent times, New Zealand has been showing the best games in all three formats of cricket. He missed out on becoming the world champion in the 2012 World Cup. But his game in this format was great. He has also qualified for the final of the World Test Championship for the first time this year, where he will face India in the title match in June. He said, ‘It’s very encouraging for the team. Recently we have played very good cricket in three formats. If anyone asked earlier this year if the team could get this kind of result, I would say yes it is a bit difficult. But I think winning a Test match was the most important. Stead said, ‘There are still some players here who will regret not getting a chance to join the team. I think it’s the specialty of a strong team. It’s a good group and from time to time it has proven itself that the team can play against any team in the world.
