What happened to the 49-run batsman during a cricket match in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, made him angry. He angrily beat the player who was holding the catch with the bat in such a way that he became frustrated. The injured player is hospitalized and is still unaware. Police have filed a case against the accused player and started investigation.
Police have registered a case against Sanjay Palia for attempted murder. However, the player has been on the run since the incident and efforts are underway to arrest him. City Superintendent of Police (SP) Ramnaresh Pachauri said a player named Sachin Parashar (23) was rushed to a government hospital in critical condition and was accused of trying to kill batsman Sanjay Palia.
The incident took place during a match played at the fair ground on Saturday. Pachauri said, “Parashar got angry when he caught his catch for 49 runs, which was one run away from 50 runs. Polia ran towards Parashar and started hitting Parashar on the head with the batter.
The other players tried to stop Palia. Parashar Hospital has not yet regained consciousness. SP Pachauri said Palia was absconding and efforts were on to arrest her.
