After the victory of Kolkata Knight Riders, Dinesh Karthik in his speech attributed the victory to opener Shubhaman Gill and said that it is great to see the youth that we have been able to prepare. I want Gill to enjoy his journey in cricket in the same way without any pressure.
He also said that if you know how to chase a run, it’s pretty good. We are working really hard and hopefully we will get results. We have a lot of all-rounders in our team, which I think is a good thing for us because I can use them whenever I want and using them is an opportunity for me.
Shubhaman Gill gifted KKR an easy win, receiving such huge praise from the veterans
KKR had a very bad start in response to Sunrisers Hyderabad’s 143-run target. Opener batsman Sunil Narayan has returned to the pavilion as he has not opened any account. But then Nitish Rana, who came to bat, played an explosive innings of 22 off 11 balls and put on a 37-run stand with Shubhaman Gill. This was followed by a 99-run unbroken partnership between Eoin Morgan and Shubhaman Gill, which led to the downfall of the Kolkata Knight Riders.
