Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) lost their opening match to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 10 runs in the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). SRH all-rounder Mitchell Marsh was injured during the match. According to a source close to the team, Marsh could miss the 13th edition of the IPL due to the injury, although no official statement has been received from the team so far. Marsh Hill was injured during the match against RCB.

During the match, captain David Warner handed the ball to Marsh for the fifth over, but he could not bowl four balls. Marsh came down to bat despite the injury. In fact, in the second ball of his over, Aaron Finch twisted to close the drive. Nevertheless, he bowled two more balls, but after that he could no longer bowl. After that, Marsh goes down to bat at number ten and sees how much he’s in pain.

A source close to the team told PTI: “It’s a serious injury. I can’t say for sure if he will be able to play in any of the matches now.” If Marsh doesn’t play in more tournaments, it could be a big push for SRH. Mohammad Nabi could get a place in the playing XI when Marsh is out. At the end of the match, Marsh praised captain David Warner. He said, ‘This injury doesn’t look right. He showed great courage and got down to bat even though he was in pain.
