Irfan was quite surprised to see Dhoni practicing wicketkeeping during training and said that he had not seen it before. Last year, Dhoni played his last international match in the 2019 World Cup. Speaking to Star Sports, Irfan Pathan said, “We have seen some new visuals where Dhoni is keeping wickets. It never happened, it’s something new, because I’ve played cricket with him for many years, for the Indian team and for CSK in the IPL, but I’ve never seen him wicketkeeping. Pathan added, “Because he probably didn’t play cricket for a long time.” I think there are some leg-spinners in the team, they are looking to see how they are bowlers, but it would be nice to see them practicing wicketkeeping. Pathan said, ‘The good thing is that the practice has started and it is not surprising that fans are flocking to see them. This has been happening for many years. Kobid is there but people are still coming to see Dhoni. ‘
