BCCI Treasure Arun Dhumal Responds to Virat Kohli Quitting T20, ODI Captaincy: After the upcoming T20 World Cup, the market of discussions has been hot since Monday morning regarding Virat Kohli’s relinquishing the captaincy from ODI and T20 cricket. A media organization published a report in this regard, in which it was told that Rohit Sharma will be handed over the captaincy in white ball cricket. Now BCCI treasurer Arun Dhumal has reacted in this matter. Virat Kohli has not been able to get India a single ICC trophy under his captaincy. Earlier, it was reported that Kohli is quite successful in Test cricket but due to his failure in limited overs ICC events, Rohit may be handed over the task.
Sources had said that the top BCCI officials have been discussing the issue ever since India’s loss against New Zealand in the final of the World Test Championship in England, where they were reportedly unhappy with the Indian captain’s team selection. Kohli played two spinners during the WTC final in a fast bowler friendly and overcast environment. However, Dhumal said that no such meeting has taken place.
