Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot gave this information by tweeting. He tweeted, ‘It has been decided to increase the dearness allowance of employees and pensioners of Rajasthan government from 17% to 28%. Earlier, the central government decided to increase dearness allowance and dearness relief for central employees and pensioners from July 1, 2021. The rate of dearness allowance was increased from 17 percent to 28 percent. This increase has been done at an interval of one and a half years and it will benefit about 1.14 crore central government employees and pensioners.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur told reporters after a meeting of the Union Cabinet on Wednesday that the hike in DA and DR will put an additional burden of Rs 34,401 crore on the exchequer. Both will come into effect from July 2021.
