Sukhbir Badal has shared a video in this regard from his Twitter handle. He said that for the last seven months, farmers from Punjab and other states have been protesting in Delhi. The farmers are demanding the withdrawal of the agriculture laws of the Centre. The protesting farmers, including the elderly, mothers, are fighting day and night to get the agricultural laws back. Many farmers have died in these seven months. About five and a half hundred farmers have sacrificed their lives. Former Deputy CM of Punjab Sukhbir Badal further said that if the Saad and BSP coalition government is formed in Punjab, then first of all the farmers who have given martyrdom, a member of that family will be given a government job. All the members of such family will be provided free of cost till post graduation. Medical insurance will also be done for these families. All these expenses will be borne by the Punjab government.

It is known that Akali and BSP have announced to fight the Punjab Assembly elections together. The alliance’s BSP will contest 20 seats out of 117. This includes eight seats in Doaba region, seven in Malwa and five in Majha region. The seats where BSP will contest are Kartarpur, Jalandhar West, Jalandhar North, Phagwara, Nawanshahr, Hoshiarpur City, Tanda, Dasuya, Chamkaur Sahib, Bassi Pathana, Mahal Kalan, Ludhiana North, Sujanpur, Boha, Pathankot, Anandpur Sahib, Mohali, There are Amritsar North, Amritsar Central and Payal.
The two parties have come together after 25 years, the last time they contested jointly, winning 11 of the 13 seats in the 1996 Lok Sabha elections. The BSP is believed to have a good hold on 31 per cent of the Dalit votes in the state. These votes are mainly in 23 seats in the Doaba region. (agency input,)
