ZyCoV-D Vaccine: Now children will be vaccinated, Center orders purchase of Zydus Cadila’s needle free vaccine

New Delhi: The Central Government has ordered the purchase of one crore doses of Needle Free Vaccine of Zydus Cadila. Zydus Cadila will provide one crore vaccines every month. It will take three doses of Zydus Cadila Vaccine. This dose will be given within 28 days. The Zydus Cadila (ZyCoV-D) vaccine has been approved for emergency use on 20 August. Let us inform that after an earlier agreement with the government, Zydus Cadila had agreed to reduce the price of its Kovid-19 vaccine to Rs 265 per dose. Now the final settlement has also been done. Each dose of needle-free ZyCoV-D vaccine will require a disposable painless jet applicator costing Rs 93, making it Rs 358 per dose. After constant negotiations between the company and the government, the cost of each dose of the vaccine has been fixed at Rs 358, which includes a disposable jet applicator for Rs 93. Three doses are to be given at an interval of 28 days. This is the world’s first vaccine developed in the country which is DNA-based and needle-free.
