Kanwar Yatra 2021: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said on Sunday that the state government has already banned the Kanwar Yatra and it will continue for the time being, but if needed in the interest of the people of the state, the government will also consult the Chief Ministers of neighboring states. Talking to reporters at Uttarakhand Sadan in the capital Delhi, the Chief Minister said, “The state government has already put a ban on this. It is purely a matter of faith, but even people’s lives cannot be put in danger. Saving people’s lives is our priority. If even one person dies from Kovid due to Kanwar Yatra, then even God will not like it. He said that as far as Kanwar Yatra is concerned, Uttarakhand is the host state and a large number of devotees come from neighboring states.
