Union minister and BJP’s central observer for Gujarat, Prahlad Joshi, who arrived in Gujarat, said that I will discuss with the leaders of Gujarat, then the central leadership will take a decision on this.

On Saturday, Vijay Rupani submitted his resignation from the post of Chief Minister to Governor Acharya Devvrat on Saturday. Rupani’s resignation came 15 months before the assembly elections in Gujarat in December 2022.
The name of Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, CR Patil is coming out for Vijay Rupani’s successor.
In this regard, CR Patil made it clear on Saturday that he is not in the race to become the next Chief Minister of Gujarat. Patil said, “Vijay Rupani has resigned from his post today. Naturally, there are many names in the media for the new chief minister, including me. I want to make it clear through this video that I am not in any such race.”
Even before this, when Anandiben Patel resigned from the post of Chief Minister in August 2016, there was talk that Nitin Patel would be his successor. Vijay Rupani, who was then the state president of the BJP, had ruled out running for Anandiben Patel’s successor. But at the last moment, the BJP chose Vijay Rupani for the top post.
The present situation is similar to the change in power in Gujarat in 2016 when Anandiben Patel also resigned a year before the assembly elections.
