West Bengal Schools Reopen: Schools from class 9 to 12 have opened in West Bengal today, that is, from Tuesday, November 16, due to which the school has returned to its glory. After the opening of 9th to 12th schools today, the Bengal government is planning to open other class schools in a phased manner. Speaking at an event, Basu said, “It is necessary to bring the students back into the mainstream of education and in view of this Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced the opening of educational institutions from November 16. We are starting with class 9th to 12th students. Parents send their children to school if they want
He reiterated that all precautions regarding COVID have been taken for the reopening of schools, colleges and universities. Basu clarified that it is the discretion of the parents concerned whether to send their children to the school for physical classes or not and there is no compulsion that everyone has to attend the school.
strict guidelines issued
The next phase of opening of schools depends on the successful implementation of the opening of classes 9 to 12 from November 16. The state education department has already issued strict guidelines to the schools to follow all the covid protocols.
As per the guidelines of the state government, students of classes 9 and 11 will report at 9.30 am and classes will run from 10 am to 3.30 pm, similarly classes 10 and 12 will be held from 11 am to 4.30 pm. In both the stipulated time, students have to report to the school half an hour before.
No guardian or other visitors will be allowed in the premises and sharing of tiffin and drinking water is strictly prohibited.
Wearing of masks is mandatory for all students, teachers and non-teaching staff.
Private schools in the city have also made a separate plan to resume educational activities from Tuesday.
