Meteorological Department IMD has told about today’s weather that some southern states including Kerala, Mahe, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu may receive heavy to very heavy rains. In view of this, somewhere red or orange alert has been issued. There is an alert of heavy to heavy rain with strong winds in these states. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be rain due to cyclonic activities in the southwest of the Bay of Bengal adjoining Tamil Nadu and in view of this, a red alert is going on in Kerala, while an orange alert has been issued for Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Light to moderate rain will occur today in and around Barwala, Adampur (Haryana), Saharanpur, Gangoh, Deoband, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Khatauli (UP). Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal during next 2 hours , Fatehabad, Jind, Hisar, Hansi (Haryana), Saharanpur, Gangoh (UP) and nearby areas will receive thunderstorms with light to moderate intensity.
Monsoon will remain active in the southern regions for the next two days
IMD said that Southwest Monsoon will remain active over Kerala and many parts of Kerala and Lakshadweep may receive rain for the next two days. Red alert means that more than 20 cm of rain is likely to fall in 24 hours, Orange alert means 6 cm to 20 cm of heavy rain and Yellow alert means 6-11 cm of rain. Might be possible.
