Mainpuri: Samajwadi Party (SP) leader and former CM of Uttar Pradesh Mulayam Singh Yadav’s niece Sandhya Yadav yesterday submitted her nomination for the upcoming panchayat elections on a BJP ticket. Her husband Anujesh Pratap Yadav and BJP district president Pradeep Chauhan were present during the evening nomination. Earlier, on 14th January 2015, as the candidate of Samajwadi Party, he was elected as the President of Mainpuri District Panchayat. In July 2012, a party led by SP MLA Rajkumar alias Raju from the Sadar constituency brought a no-confidence motion against him, but by then Sandhya had the support of the BJP and the motion fell against him. Sandhya and her husband have since joined the BJP.
