The AAP will contest all the seats in the local body elections in Gujarat, the first list of candidates has been released

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Sunday said it would field candidates in all the constituencies in the upcoming local body elections in Gujarat and the party has released the first list of 504 candidates. The party is confident of emerging as a strong alternative to the ruling BJP in the state. Delhi’s AAP spokesperson and MLA Atishi has released the first list of candidates for local body elections in Gujarat’s municipalities, municipal corporations, district and upazila panchayats.

These elections will probably be held in February. Atishi said for the first time in the state, AAP will contest all the seats in the local body elections. With this, the party will enter the electoral politics of Gujarat as a strong alternative to the BJP. The AJP will work to oust the BJP.

He said the AAP would contest not only local body elections in Gujarat, but also assembly elections and other elections. The people of Gujarat want alternatives. He claimed that he was entering the electoral politics of the state at the behest of the AAP people. Atishi has accused the BJP of intimidation and politics of temptation.

He said that if there is a leader in the country who is not afraid of the BJP, it is Arvind Kejriwal and if there is a party that the BJP cannot intimidate or persuade, it is AAP … We, Arvind Kejriwal’s troops, We will continue to fight for the truth. Atishi said the list was being released a few weeks ago because candidates had to campaign from house to house.

The AAP leader said the party had provided an e-mail address so that people could register if they had to make a complaint against a candidate. Atishi said, we have talked about three C-corruption (corruption), crime (crime) and character (character). He said that if a candidate comes into question about these criteria, you will change that candidate. He said his party would not field any corrupt person.

Gopal Italia, the newly-appointed head of AAP’s Gujarat unit, said the first list of 504 candidates had been released, of which 31 per cent were women. “This is the first list and we will publish the second list soon,” he said. We will compete in all the seats. Our problems are related to education, health and corruption. We want corruption to be completely eradicated in Gujarat. These local body elections were scheduled to be held in Gujarat in November 2012, but were postponed by three months due to the Kovid-19 global epidemic.
