Four people have been arrested on charges of killing one person for objecting to urinating in public. Navi Mumbai police gave this information on Sunday. Sachin Patil, 35, was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition on Friday, where doctors declared him dead, a Rabale MIDC police official said.
He said there was a fight with the accused Akash Gaikwad, 20, for instructing the public not to urinate in public. The incident happened in the city. Gaikwad and his three friends later beat Patil and threw him in the street. They said everyone was arrested while trying to flee the city. He has been charged with murder and has been remanded in police custody until January 5.
Navi Mumbai: Four brothers arrested for killing a man
Meanwhile, police have arrested four brothers living in Navi Mumbai for killing a 39-year-old man. A police official said this information. DCP (Zone-1) Suresh Mengade said the four brothers, a resident of Dewale village in Belapur, CBD, Mumbai, were arrested on December 31.
“One of the victims, Somnath Kali, had an affair with Prasad Aditra, also the wife of Kali (227). The victim was his neighbor,” he said, adding that on the night of December 29, the accused abducted the victim from a bar in CBD Belapur. They took him to his autorickshaw and stoned him to death.
