Regarding the investigation into the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the Mumbai Police Commissioner said, “I am sure the CBI will soon come to a decision that will not be different from ours. The Mumbai Police Commissioner said that even the Supreme Court had termed our investigation as professional but people were trying to discredit us for vested interests. However, in the end our proper investigation won.
Let me tell you that a day before December 31, the CBI said that they were investigating the case ‘thoroughly and professionally’. To date, none of this has been dismissed. The CBI made the remarks in response to a letter written by BJP leader Subramanian Swamy to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 30. In the case of Sushant’s death, the husband demanded a joint investigation by the CBI, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Director of Enforcement (ED).

In a letter to her husband, the CBI said that a team of experienced investigating officers has been formed to look into the situation related to the untimely death of Sushant Singh Rajput after taking charge of the investigation. The team along with senior officials visited Aligarh, Faridabad, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Manesar (Gurgaon) and Patna – all locations.
The investigation team and senior officials visited the spot to investigate the situation. The CBI, in a letter sent to her husband on December 30, said that an expert from the CBI’s Central Forensic Science Laboratory in New Delhi had also visited the spot and investigated. Experts also conducted simulation exercises. He said, “The CBI is conducting an in-depth and professional investigation using the latest scientific techniques. During the investigation, all aspects are being scrutinized and to date no aspects have been ruled out.
