Zakiur Rehman Lakh V, the mastermind of the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai and a leader of Lashkar-e-Taiba, was arrested in Pakistan. According to Pakistani media reports, Zakiur Rehman Lakh V has been arrested for aiding and abetting terrorists. Lakshvi has been out on bail since 2013 in the Mumbai attack case. He was arrested by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD). However, the CTD did not disclose the location of his arrest. It said Zakir-ur-Rehman Lakh V, a banned Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist, was arrested in the operation on the basis of intelligence information from CTD Punjab on charges of providing funds for terrorist activities.
It said that Lucknow (1) was arrested at the CTD police station in Lahore in a case related to terrorist funds. The CTD said there were allegations of running a disciplinary sari against Lakhvi using funds raised for terrorism. He and others raised funds from the dispensary and used the money to fund terrorism.
He also used the money for personal expenses. The CTD said that in addition to being linked to the banned Lashkar-e-Taiba, it was on the UN’s list of declared terrorists. It said the case against him would go to the anti-terrorism court in Lahore.

Speaking about Lashkar-e-Taiba’s Mumbai attack, Maria wrote in the book, “If everything went according to plan, Kasab Chowdhury Chowdhury would have died and the ‘Hindu terrorists’ would have been considered behind the attack.”
