Notably, Imarati Devi was also the Minister for Women and Child Development in the Kamalnath government. He was close to Jyotiraditya Scindia and he also joined the BJP after Scindia revolted from the Congress.
Shivraj replied to Kamalnath
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reacted sharply to the remarks of former CM Kamal Nath. He tweeted, “Kamal Nath! Imrati Devi is the name of the daughter of a poor farmer who started working in the village and is now helping to build the country as a government servant. Shivraj will keep silence for two hours
Shivraj Singh Chouhan has decided to remain silent for two hours in protest of Kamal Nath’s statement. Shivraj Singh Chouhan said, “I will silently protest against the statement of Congress leader Kamal Nath from 10 am to 12 noon tomorrow, where he has been described as an item to BJP leader Imrati Devi. They should be ashamed of their statement.”
