On Friday, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said the state police was able to investigate the case of late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. At the same time, the transfer of cases would be insulting for them (Mumbai Police) because they fought the Corona epidemic like fighters. Uddhav Thackeray has said that no one should do politics in this regard. He told Sushant’s fans that he should trust the Mumbai police.
Uddhav had targeted Devendra Farnavis, the Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly, in the case, saying that even after serving as the Chief Minister for five years, he had doubts about the efficiency of the Mumbai Police. “I want to tell Sushant Singh Rajput fans to trust the Mumbai police and share the information (about the case) that you have,” Thackeray said.
Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Fadnavis said there was “a huge public sentiment” to hand over the case to the CBI, but the Uddhav Thackeray-led Maha Bikash Hadadi (MVA) government was not doing so. He said, ‘People have a lot of feelings in the Sushant Singh Rajput case. They think that something is being hidden, there are new revelations lations therefore, people are demanding a CBI investigation into it. “But the state government is denying the CBI probe into the case,” Farnavis said.
Earlier, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had also said that the Mumbai police was capable of investigating the case and therefore there was no need for a CBI probe. On the other hand, Sushant’s family, fans and several senior BJP leaders are demanding a CBI probe. A PIL was filed in the Supreme Court in this regard, which was rejected by the court. The court said the Mumbai police should be allowed to investigate.
Sushant’s father KK Singh recently lodged an FIR against actress Riya Chakraborty in Patna, Bihar. He made many serious allegations against the actress, including inciting Sushant to commit suicide and transfer money. Rhea released the video on Friday stating that Sach will win. Rhea said, “I have full faith in God and the justice system.”
Mumbai police have recorded the speeches of several Bollywood celebrities including director Sanjay Leela Vansali, film critic Rajiv Masand, actress Sanjana Sanghi, Rajput girlfriend Riya Chakraborty, casting director Shanu Sharma, filmmaker Mukesh Chabra and Aditya Chopra. Police have so far recorded the statements of about 40 people, including Rajput’s family and his kitchen.
