Ghaziabad: 14 people were killed and two others were in critical condition due to a crematorium collapse in Modinagar

The roof of the gallery suddenly collapsed at the crematorium in Muradnagar, Ghaziabad on Sunday. Fourteen people were killed in the crash and two were in critical condition. More than 40 people were buried when the roof collapsed. Police and administration team reached the spot and rescued the people and admitted them to Ghaziabad District Hospital. Doctors have confirmed 14 deaths.

Dayaram, a resident of Dayananda Colony, died on Saturday night due to illness. Hundreds of locals and relatives were present at his janaza. Janaza is going on. At the priest’s call, all the people stood inside the building built on the crematorium and recited self-peace. Meanwhile, the land suddenly collapsed on one side. As a result, the wall fell and the lantern fell.

No one got a chance to escape in the accident. Some of the screamers fell into the rubble inside, while others ran to save their lives. Immediately the police reached the spot. The building was not too old. It is feared that the building, built on filler land, sat on the ground in the rain and this happened.

CM Yogi apologized for the accident, assisted two lakh dependents

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath G has expressed deep grief over the death of a man in a roof collapse at Muradnagar in Ghaziabad district. Wishing peace to the soul of the deceased, he conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased. The Chief Minister has directed to provide financial assistance of Rs 22-02 lakh to the dependents of those killed in the accident. He also directed Mandalayuta, Meerut and ADG, Meerut Zone to submit a report on the incident.
