Former Bihar DGP Gupteswar Pandey joins JDU, says he doesn’t understand politics, calls Nitish


Former Bihar DGP Gupteswar Pandey joined the JDU on Sunday. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar Gupteswar Pandey has been given party membership at the Chief Minister’s residence. Assembly elections are scheduled to begin in Bihar next month. The state will vote in three stages.

After joining the JDU, Gupteswar Pandey said he did not understand politics. “I was called by the chief minister himself and asked to join. I don’t understand politics. I am an ordinary person who has spent his time working for the lower castes of the society,” he said.

Gupteswar Pandey took VRS late Tuesday evening, September 22nd. Gupteswar Pandey, a 1987 batch IPS officer, will complete his term after five months. He was made DGP of the state on 31 January 2019. Gupteswar Pandey’s term as the state’s director general of police will end on February 20, 2021.

Even after holding the post of DGP, Gupteswar Pandey tried to involve the locals in their plight. For the past six months, Boxer would come every few months for departmental work, and then he would try to share his grief by meeting old gurus, social figures, writers in his own district. People used to reach Patna with their pain and suffering. All this was heard. He was also near the Gerua dam in his village.

Bihar elections will be held in three stages

Bihar Assembly election date has been announced. The Election Commission is going to conduct assembly elections in three phases. There have been many changes in the election due to the global epidemic corona virus. The first round of voting will be held on October 26 and the second round will be held on November 3. The third and final round of voting will take place on November. Simultaneously, the results will be announced on 10 November.
