There have been 17794 new cases of coronavirus infection in Maharashtra. According to the Department of Health, the total number of infected corona in the state has reached 1300757 and there have been more than 17 thousand new cases in the state. A further 416 people have died in the state in the last 24 hours due to the corona virus infection. The death toll rose to 34761.
Meanwhile, seven new cases of corona virus were reported in Dharavi, a slum area of Mumbai, on Friday. With this, 3109 cases of infection have been reported in the region so far. This information was given by a senior official of Brihannumbai Mahanagar Palika (BMC).
He said that so far 263737 patients have been cured of the infection and 191 patients are undergoing treatment. BMC does not share the number of deaths in the region. About two and a half lakh people live in Dharavi covering an area of about two and a half square kilometers.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Friday said that my family, my obligation campaign by the state government against the coronavirus will create a health blueprint for the state and keep people fit.
Thackeray was speaking at a state review meeting on epidemics in the Konkan and Pune regions. Officials from the respective regions took part in the meeting via video conference. The purpose of this campaign is to identify Covid-19 patients as well as people suffering from other diseases in the state.
