Referring to the opening of many sectors from space to defence, the Prime Minister said that his government has kept in mind the national interest and the need of various stakeholders. He said that India is witnessing reforms on such a large scale because its vision is clear, which is to make a ‘self-reliant India’. Prime Minister Modi said that India is one of the few countries which have ‘end to end’ technology in the space sector. He said that the government is helping industries, young innovators and start-ups as partners and will continue to do so. He said that the government’s efforts for reforms in the space sector are based on four pillars, which include giving freedom to the private sector to innovate, playing the role of empowering the government, preparing the youth for the future and envisioning the sector for the common man. as a source of support for development. The government said that the ISPA will have the participation of all stakeholders of the Indian space sector, including the government and its agencies. The founding members of ISPA include Larsen & Toubro, Nelco (Tata Group), OneWeb, Bharti Airtel, MapmyIndia, Walchandnagar Industries and Anant Technology Limited. Other prominent members include Godrej, Hughes India, Agista-BST Aerospace Pvt Ltd, BEL, Centum Electronics and Maxar India.
