A plan is being made to provide financial assistance to the children who lost their parents due to Corona.
New Delhi: The central government is planning to increase the monthly financial assistance given to children who have lost their parents due to Kovid-19 from Rs 2,000 to Rs 4,000. The official said that a proposal in this regard may go to the cabinet for approval in the next few weeks.Also Read – Historical Achievement! The official said that the Ministry of Women and Child Development has proposed that the monthly assistance given to children who lost their parents to the pandemic be increased from Rs 2,000 to Rs 4,000. The government had announced in May that children whose parents or legal guardians/adoptive parents have been lost due to COVID-19 would be given assistance under the ‘PM-Cares for Children’ scheme. According to ministry data, out of 3,250 applications received under the scheme so far, a total of 667 have been approved by the respective district magistrates.
