Health Ministry Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that there are more than 1 lakh active cases in Kerala which is 52% of the total active cases in the country. Still 15-16 lakh tests are being done daily in the country. The positivity rate is declining. This is the 13th consecutive week that the weekly positivity has been less than 3%. The Health Ministry said that there are 48 such districts in the country where the positivity is more than 5%, out of which there are 18 districts where the positivity is between 5-10%. There are 30 districts where the positivity is more than 10%. He said, “Till this morning, more than 88 crore Kovid vaccine doses have been administered. There are more than 64 crore first doses and 23.70 crore second doses. 99% of health workers have already received the first dose. Among the frontline workers, 100% of the people have got the first dose.” Rajesh Bhushan, Secretary, Ministry of Health said that 69% of the population above the age of 18 years in the country have received at least one dose of the Kovid vaccine. 25% of people have taken both the doses.
