Chief Minister Chouhan told a public meeting in Jhirnya under the public welfare and Suraj program that water would be made available through lift irrigation scheme in the villages of Jhirnya area of Khargone district. Khandwa and Khargone will be made power hubs. Jhirnya will be given the status of Nagar Panchayat. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the government is concerned about education, livelihood and housing for the poor. As families are getting bigger, land will be provided to every poor and homeless person for a house. Chief Minister Chouhan said that there is no dearth of money for the poor in the treasury of the government. The government wants to take forward the mother, daughter and sisters. That’s why we increased the reservation of women in local bodies. He said that the products made by the sisters will be promoted. Plenty of employment opportunities will be provided to the women of self-help groups. Uniforms of school children will be made only by women of self-help groups. There will be no contractor in this.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that PESA Act will be implemented for tribal welfare in scheduled areas. There will be no need to wander for ration in remote villages and ration will be given to the poor by going to their homes. Various demands put by the public representatives in Jhirnya region will be fulfilled. Agriculture Minister and Minister in charge of Khargone district Kamal Patel said that Khargone district has got a big gift of development. An electricity sub-station costing Rs 42 crore has been dedicated at Jhirnya. This will bring new light of development in this area. Re-implementation of Sabal Yojana has been started to help the needy. MP Gajendra Singh Patel said that development is happening at a fast pace in the state. A new development story is being written. Drinking water problem in Jhirnya will be resolved soon. For this, rapid efforts are being made to set up lift irrigation projects.
